How to Sign Up for Text Banking
Note: You must be enrolled in personal online banking and your accounts must be enabled for text banking within online banking.
- Within Online Banking, select Settings, then Text Enrollment.
- Select the box to enable text banking (it should display green with a check mark when enabled).
- Enter your cell phone number.
- Check the box to agree to the terms.
- Go back to the menu and select Settings and then Account Preferences.
- Click on any accounts you want enabled for Text Banking.
- Toggle to the SMS/Text tab and check the box for SMS/Text Enrollment (it should display green with a check mark when enabled).
- Update the Account’s Display Name.
- LIST— you will receive a list of available commands.
- BAL— you will receive account balance(s) (you can add the account nickname after “BAL” if you want only one account balance).
- HIST— you will receive the 10 most recent transactions from account history.
- XFERfrom (insert account nickname) to (insert account nickname) — text banking will transfer funds between these two accounts.
- HELP— you will receive a text with an overview of options and contact information for Bank of the Pacific.
- STOP— disable text banking.
Transfer Money to Another Account
Need to transfer money to another Bank of the Pacific customer? Account to Account transfers allows you to send money to another bank customer quickly and easily. Account to Account Transfer is a feature of our online banking that allows an online banking customer to complete a real-time funds transfer to another Bank of the Pacific online banking customer by entering the recipients email address and last 4 of the account number.
Set Up Account Alerts
Within Online & Mobile Banking you can set up:
- Date Alerts – set a reminder for a special date, meeting or appointment.
- Account Alerts – select to receive a balance alert when your balance is above or below a specified amount.
- History Alerts – receive an alert when transactions or checks post to your account.
- Insufficient Funds Alerts – set up an alert to notify you when your account balance is non-sufficient.
- Transaction Alerts – receive an alert when a funds transfer, stop payment, Wire or ACH Payment is drafted, authorized, processed cancelled or has failed.
- Security Alerts – While some security alerts are required, many are configurable. There are additional security alerts for businesses to help protect against unauthorized usage including when a recipient or user is created or modified.
To enable or disable an alert in Online or Mobile Banking:
- Select Alerts under the Settings menu option.
- Use the New Alert drop down to select the type of alert.
- Select each field to define the alert. For Security Alerts, access the list of alerts by expanding the Security Alerts drop down and select each button to Enable or Disable the alert. Note some alerts are grayed out and cannot be disabled.
When setting up an alert, you can select a delivery method by eMail, Phone, Text Message or Secure Message only (online/mobile message box). You may edit the alerts and delivery at any time by selecting Edit. The delivery preferences for Security Alerts must be updated under Security Alerts/Edit Delivery Preferences. Any changes to Security Alert delivery will prompt an alert to user that the preferences have been changed.
Transaction Alerts and Security Alerts are real time. Date, Account, and History alerts are received after processing at approximately 5:30 am or if applicable, uncheck ’Call Immediately’, to set a time you prefer. For Additional information select the Help Menu in Online & Mobile Banking.
Make Purchase Online with VISA Checkout
Using Visa Checkout makes it easier to make purchases online with your existing debit or credit cards and spend less time filling out forms. When you click the “VISA Checkout” button at checkout time, you don’t need to re-enter your card information. You just enter your email address and password and you’re done. Pay with Visa checkout at your favorite online stores!
