Bank of the Pacific has grown tremendously since opening its doors in 1972 and is on the move again. In November, the bank is bringing its full range of banking services to Clark and Thurston counties. On Nov. 6, Bank of the Pacific is opening a new branch in Vancouver at 400 East Mill Plain Blvd. Suite 100. And a new branch in Olympia is set to open Nov. 20 at 520 Union Ave. S.E.

We’ve been afforded the opportunity to relocate to more central, higher-visibility sites where we can continue to provide the exceptional customer service and banking solutions we’re known for in Washington and Oregon. Our employees look forward to continuing to support our customers and communities in Clark and Thurston counties,” says Denise Portmann, president and CEO for Bank of the Pacific and its holding company, Pacific Financial Corporation.

When it comes to engaging with local manufacturers and commercial firms, Bank of the Pacific believes in fostering the whole relationship. Many on the team have been in the industry for years and they bring a wealth of experience to their jobs. “People join our team for the services we offer,” says Stacey Reid, senior vice president and commercial banking team leader in Vancouver, “and the ability to work with all client types and sizes.” Reid, a Clark County native, has been with Bank of the Pacific for three years and in the financial industry since 1996. “It’s important to work with business clients in my hometown,” she says, “Bank of the Pacific is small and nimble but offers all the same services others do, and we can do it in person, with someone who knows you, your business and your town.”

They extend that philosophy of relationships and service to the broader community. Their commercial team works with the business owners, their employees, and their extended communities to build a solid future for everyone involved. This well-rounded approach is how they tackle all financial options and find the best fit for their clients. It’s this approach that truly sets Bank of the Pacific apart from its peers. As their mission states, they aspire to “be the best bank for our employees, customers, investors and communities.”

On the home loans side, the bank’s mortgage lending team as more than 100 years combined experience in the industry, and thrives on working one-on-one with clients. They know many factors drive home purchases and that, like families, no two are the same. Whatever your needs, whether it’s a purchase or a construction loan, Bank of the Pacific is happy to help.

Lindsay Paylor, senior vice president and commercial banking team leader in Olympia, says the bank’s new full-service branches are the result of “organic growth,” as the new branches are a natural progression from the existing commercial loan offices in Vancouver and Olympia. The new branches join a network of Bank of the Pacific locations and will include expanded retail and commercial business banking services.

“We are as true a community bank as you can get,” Paylor says, “plus all the professionalism of a big bank. It’s extra critical to be involved in the communities we serve and be both a trusted part and active member of those communities.” Many of the Bank’s employees are involved in local boards and volunteer their time with local charities and nonprofits. It’s built into the culture.

Walker Evans, chief lending officer, is also excited about the future. “As people encounter us, they learn that we have sophistication in underwriting and consultation as found in very large banks, but with service and customer experience found in smaller organizations,” says Evans. “For more than 50 years, we have operated by a set of values that are part of our culture that, together, attracts some of the best talent in the industry and incorporates ideas from all levels of the organization. Our mission is why we do what we do. Our values are how we do it. We mean it, and this manifests in objective benefits for customers.”

Existing and new customers will continue to have access to the bank’s network of branch locations, as well as technology-based banking services such as mobile banking, remote deposit capture, Zelle, ATMs/ITMs, debit cards and online banking.
